- market leader in the abatement of airborne emissions and odour
Centriair is a Swedish company, active within the industrial process gas treatment area, developing proprietary technology leading solutions for abatement of airborne emissions, as well as heat recovery. Our systems typically have higher performance, lower total cost of ownership and lower climate impact than prevailing solutions.
The company was founded in 2007, is owned by management, and has during the last 5 years grown revenue by ~ 60% and EBIT by ~ 110%, annually. Project turnover fiscal years 20/21 is ~ 100 MSEK, or about 10 MEUR. Main offices are in Sweden, Germany and Norway. The company has altogether 32 employees.
The technical solution comprises unique air centrifuges for particle removal, a short wavelength ultraviolet system for “cold combustion” of gaseous compounds followed by specialised adsorption media for polishing of the gas. The system requires just about 5% of the energy that systems with similar abatement performance would need. Hereby, it significantly reduces the carbon dioxide footprint needed for the treatment of the gas, and energy is also normally transferred back to the customers process/factory.
Centriair is today mainly active within the Waste and Food sector. The Waste sector is typically sewage treatment plants, biogas plants and waste processing industries. In the Food sector, it is large food processing plants such as frying plants, roasting plants etc. The waste sector has had a growth for Centriair of 260% the last two years and is already today the most important area for the company. However, there are a number of potentials for organic growth to new business areas as well as geographies for the company.
